hi! i’m drega, a leopard shark from the kelp forests off the coast of southern california :3 by trade a hardware engineer, by night (and most weekends) a self-taught furry digital artist. around late 2016 i started getting serious about art as a hobby, taking commissions and growing my skills with the goal of making a webcomic of the kind that had so inspired me in my formative years.

the world of panopticat has been in development for about as long. for me it’s an escapist haven to consider the kinds of political and philosophical questions i’d like to be asking instead of our present ones. i conceptualize it as a near-future magic realist setting, caught halfway between cyberpunk and solarpunk. i’m thrilled to finally share these stories with friends old and new!
